We desire to follow the New Testament model of a plurality of pastor-elders.
Lead Pastor Pete Thompson
Pete grew up in rural Missouri and received his bachelors from Maranatha Baptist University in Wisconsin. He later received his Masters of Divinity from Reformed Baptist Seminary in California while serving at a church in North Carolina. He began serving as Lead Pastor at Gethsemane Baptist Church in August, 2020.
Pete and Holly were married in 2013, and welcomed their daughter, Sophia, into their family in 2019.
Pastor Donnie Hale
Donnie came to know Jesus Christ as his Savior while a freshman at Ohio State University. During his college years he was active in an on-campus ministry and a local church. He obtained his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and has worked in the software technology field for 30+ years.
Donnie and his wife Kathy came to a greater love of God’s Word and an appreciation of the importance of sound theology through the faithful preaching of a long-time pastor in Columbus, Ohio. This passion for doctrine eventually led to an opportunity for Donnie to attend The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, 2011-2016, graduating with a Masters of Divinity from the School of Theology.
Donnie has served as pastor of Gethsemane Baptist Church since August 2013. He and Kathy have been married for 31 years and have three adult children.
