Join us in celebrating the faith and trust of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe baptism to be a wonderful form of worship. It is a public proclamation of faith in Jesus Christ. Baptism does not save us or literally wash away our sins. Instead it points to the saving work of God through Jesus Christ. We believe the Bible teaches that God the Father elected us before the foundation of the world, the Lord Jesus Christ redeemed us on the cross, and the Holy Spirit regenerates and seals us in the New Birth. Believer’s baptism reflects and proclaims this completed work of God. Baptism is a church sacrament which brings glory to our Savior and is a joyful occasion for all of us.
Baptism is a symbol of:
- the Death and Resurrection of Jesus (1 Corinthians 15:1-4),
- what God has accomplished (Romans 6:3-11, Colossians 2:9-14),
- the washing/cleansing from sin (Titus 3:5, Acts 22:16)
